Magpie Literacy integrates with Clever® Secure Sync to streamline the rostering process for schools. This ensures automatic, secure, and accurate updates to student and teacher data—saving schools time and improving implementation consistency.
Below is an overview of how auto-rostering works through Clever® and what to expect when onboarding.

Requesting Access to Magpie Literacy
In Clever®, you can add Magpie Literacy by requesting app in your Clever® dashboard or following these instructions:
- Log in to your Clever® dashboard and select Applications → Add Applications.
- Search for Magpie Literacy.
- Request the Magpie Literacy app.
After you request Magpie Literacy in Clever®, Magpie will receive a notification and will contact you.

Set Up Sharing Rules
- Click on “Sharing”

Choose “Share by rules”
- Required Fields
| District Admin Record | district, name.first, name.last, email, title |
| School Admin Record | district, name, schools, staff_id, credentials, department, email, ext, roles, title |
| Teacher Record | district, name, school, schools, sis_id, credentials, email, ext, stated_id, teacher_number, title |
| Student | district, name, school, schools, sis_id, credentials, dob, email, ext, gender, graduation_year, hispanic_ethnicity, location, race, state_id, student_number |
- Configure filters (e.g., specific grades, subjects, or sections) to ensure that only the relevant English/Reading/ELA classes and sections are rostered in Magpie Literacy.
* Please note that at this time, one teacher may only be mapped to one class/section at a time in Magpie Literacy.
3. Save & Verify
- Click “Save” to apply changes
- Review shared data to ensure only relevant sections are included
- The data will start syncing the next day
