- Whole class completes ROAR at the same time, if possible
- Introduce students to Magpie and ROAR (powerpoint slides)
- Plan for students to complete the 3 assessments over 1-2 days (can be 3 if doing in small groups and only have 20 minutes at a time). Often first graders can complete Letter and Phoneme on one day and Word the second day.
- Show students in the powerpoint slides where to STOP each ROAR day and raise their hand
- When they finish, give students another activity to do until everyone has finished
