Recommended Practices for “ROAR® Days”
- Whole class completes ROAR® at the same time, if possible; or in small groups
- Teachers introduce students to Magpie and ROAR® (powerpoint slides)
- Teachers teach students how to log into Magpie in Clever/ClassLink
- Teachers monitor students as they take and complete the ROAR assessments
- Students complete 1 ROAR® assessment each day
-
Students are told when to STOP for the day (see below) and are given another activity to do while waiting for all students to finish
After all students have completed the ROAR® assessments, students begin their regular weekly Magpie schedule (“Magpie Days”) of 45-60 minutes independent learning each week
